Job description
As one of the first hires, you will work directly with the founders to build our MVP and launch it to our first users. Your input will extend beyond just the product; you will shape our technical foundation, engineering culture, and decision-making processes.
As our Founding AI Engineer, you will develop and improve our AI library, bringing the most cutting-edge technology to our users. Your background may be in research, where you learned how to distill findings from papers to real solutions, or you worked on AI technology at your last company, bringing LLMs to the existing tech-stack and improving key KPIs. You will work alongside the CTO and Founding Software Engineer to build a first-of-its-kind platform that combines the best of modern software with the latest AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship our AI library, working closely with the CTO and Founding Software Engineer
- Reduce hallucination and improve safety of our LLM outputs
- Research latest AI developments and integrate them into our library
- Data and prompt engineering
- Drive your own work-stream and product roadmaps
- Work directly with our users to drive improvements in the product
Who We're Looking For
- Higher Education (BSc, MSc, PhD) and/or research background
- 5+ years of experience, accepting graduates only from PhD programs
- Strong ML Engineering expertise
- Solid understanding of back-end development and infrastructure, such as Flask and Django
- Experience launching AI products and/or deploying ML models at scale
- Experience delivering products and features to a production environment
- Previous experience building and maintaining Python libraries in production
- Comfortable with rapid iteration and changing requirements
- Previous startup experience preferred
Technical Background
- Expert in Python and relevant web frameworks such as Flask/Django
- Strong LLM and prompt engineering fundamentals
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS)
- Knowledge of Multi-Agent LLM systems
- Understanding of anti-hallucination and AI security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
