Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care in Doncaster is seeking a Team Manager to lead the Doncaster North Team, with travel across Leeds, Bradford, York and North Yorkshire regions.

You must be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and hold or be willing to undertake a Management qualification. This full-time role involves travel and strong leadership to grow the fostering service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Doncaster North Team (Leeds, Bradford, York and additional North Yorkshire areas).
• Travel across the region to attend carer connection groups, training and managers meetings.
• Drive vision, energy and leadership to develop the fostering team and service quality.
• Support service delivery to meet outcomes for children and foster carers.
• Collaborate with clinical, education and residential services as needed.

Our North service is looking for a Team Manager to join an established team based in our Doncaster office but with the flexibility to work from home. Whilst sitting within the Five Rivers North service, the Doncaster office covers such a large geographical area that it is split into two, Doncaster North Team and Doncaster South Team. This role is to manage our Doncaster North Team which covers; Leeds, Bradford, York, other areas of North Yorkshire, East Riding, Hull and North Lincolnshire.

You will need to be someone with strong leadership qualities and a passion for improving outcomes for children is desirable for this role.

You must be registered with Social Work England and either hold a Management or Leadership qualification or be prepared to undertake training on this.

There is an expectation of travel across the region to attend carer connection groups, training and managers meetings.

This is an exciting, but demanding opportunity for someone to continue to build on an established fostering team. This will require someone with Vision, Energy and strong Leadership and Management skills to achieve what we expect of the service in the future.

Hours

This is a full-time role of 37 hours covering 5 days per week, with some flexibility working from home when agreed by the service manager.

Monday to Thursday 9 am – 5 pm and Friday 9 am – 4:30 pm although some flexibility will be required.

Requirements

• Experience working in the fostering sector or with children/young people in social care.
