Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care in Gloucester is seeking a Fostering Support Worker to join the Southwest Service. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are valued, respected, and listened to, and involved in decisions.

The role involves direct work with children and young people, Foster Carers, and other professionals to ensure quality outcomes. You will coordinate group activities, deliver 1-1 sessions with children in foster care placements, and promote health and

Qualifications

• Good written and IT skills.
• Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers.
• Able to actively listen to others.
• Valid Driving Licence
• Have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Therapeutic direct work with children, young people and carers preferred but not essential as training given

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children and young people, Foster Carers, and other professionals to ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinate group work and activities as part of our agreed programme.
• Provide 1-1 sessions to children and young people in their foster care placements, promoting health and wellbeing.
• Support families throughout the South West region.
