Qualifications

• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
• Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing.
• A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
• Confidence in transporting children in stressful situations.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children.
• Monitor suitability and competence of foster parents.
• Ensure understanding of fostering standards and procedures.
• Provide supervision to allocated foster parents.
• Work in partnership to identify needs within foster families.
• Ensure compliance with key documentation.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for care packages.
• Promote participation of children in agency development.
• Participate in an 'out of hours' support service.
• Undertake initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
