Job summary

By the Bridge with Cambian is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to strengthen relationships between foster parents, children, and social workers.

You will support foster parents to maintain stable placements, ensure safeguarding, and work with partners to meet regulations and national standards. The role combines monitoring, assessment, and evidence-based decision making to promote safe, nurturing foster care.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding best practices.
• Experience working in fostering or therapeutic childcare settings.
• Excellent verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support foster parents and promote children's rights and safety.
• Conduct monthly home supervision visits and weekly phone contacts with foster parents.
• Ensure safety plans for each child are effective and tailored to placements.
• Work with the MDT to prepare assessments and high-quality reports.
