Fostering Recruitment Officer / Family Support Worker
Job Title: Fostering Recruitment Officer / Family Support Worker
Salary: £26,854 per annum (increasing to £29,838 p.a. after 18 months) plus £750 p.a. Homeworking Allowance))
Location: Homebased in West Midlands, within a 20 mile radius of Walsall or West Bromwich areas.

All employees are homebased but are required to travel regularly to face-to-face meetings normally once a month and on other occasions for training and team wellbeing events.

  • Progression to salary target rate upon completion of 18 months service.
  • 45p per mile for business travel.

The Role:

The Fostering Recruitment Officer/Family Support Worker role focuses on working with prospective and approved foster carers, children and families. You will be available to plan and participate with recruitment events across the West Midlands, contribute to face to face and online activities and opportunities to attract those interested in fostering. You must able to travel across the West Midlands as key support to children and their carers and flexibility is required within the role to manage and support at short notice to meet the needs of the children/service. Flexibility will also be expected as there will be some occasional weekend and late evening working to support the needs of carers and children, in addition to recruitment activities.
