Annual Fee: £50,000 + up to £13,453.96 in weekly allowances

You’ve built a career supporting others — but have you ever thought about doing it from your own home and truly changing a life forever?

We’re seeking people with passion, patience, and experience to take the next step — not into another job, but into a whole new way of making a difference.

What is Lleol Fostering?

“Lleol” means “local” in Welsh, and for children in care, staying local is vital. Some young people in Flintshire need more than a traditional fostering placement — they need stability, belief, and someone to fight their corner.

This specialist role supports young people leaving high-support settings, helping them transition into family life. It’s fostering with a therapeutic approach, backed by full training, exceptional support, and a dedicated team beside you.

What you’ll receive:
  • £50,000 annual fee recognising your commitment
  • Up to £258.79 weekly allowance (over £13,453 annually)
  • Extra payments for birthdays, holidays & Christmas
  • Linked support foster carer for respite and practical help
  • 50% council tax discount
  • Therapeutic training & recognised qualifications
  • Mockingbird support model
  • Blue Light Card membership (15,000+ discounts)
  • CareFriends app rewards
  • Wellbeing events & peer support

We’re looking for individuals or couples who:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people
  • Can provide a nurturing, therapeutic home environment
  • Have at least one spare bedroom for fostering
  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Can commit to fostering full-time
  • Are resilient, reflective, and willing to learn
  • Are open to registering as self-employed
  • (Ideally, no children under 16 at home — exceptions may apply.)

Ideal backgrounds include:

Youth Offending Worker, Youth Justice Officer, Detached Youth Worker, Mentoring or Participation Officer — or any role where you’ve helped young people make positive changes.

This could be the career change you never knew you were ready for.
Bring your skills home and offer what no setting ever can: family, belonging, and the stability of a loving home.
