Mind Foundry in Oxford is seeking a Forward Deployed Machine Learning Engineer to lead deployments for real-world AI/ML systems in Defence and National Security environments. You will translate user needs into production-ready ML solutions, collaborating with customers and extending internal platforms while working at the edge with state-of-the-art tools.

This role blends engineering depth with customer delivery, offering growth, hands-on problem solving, and the chance to impact safety-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python with clean, well-documented code.
• Experience deploying ML models in production and client deployments.

Responsibilities

• Move models from research to live production environments for client data.
• Resolve edge-cases and provide on-site fixes.
• Troubleshoot integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to maintain Mind Foundry workflows.
• Engage with defence customers to translate needs into requirements.
• Provide hands-on end-user support.
• Improve internal ML platforms and tooling with deployment learnings.
