Job summary

Orbitech Recruitment seeks a skilled Formwork Joiner to join our client across sites in North Lincolnshire. You will construct, install, and dismantle formwork structures shaping concrete foundations and walls.

Responsibilities include reading plans, assembling formwork, measuring materials, and coordinating with carpenters and masons to ensure safe, accurate installations before pouring concrete.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Formwork Joiner or in carpentry or construction with formwork systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring devices.
• Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to formwork assembly and structural support.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specs to determine formwork requirements.
• Assemble, install, and secure formwork using hand tools, power tools, welding, and fasteners.
• Measure and cut materials to ensure proper fit and alignment of formwork structures.
• Position large formwork components using heavy lifting equipment and safe techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and store tools after use.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, and other trades to coordinate installation.
• Inspect formwork for stability, safety, and adherence to standards before pouring concrete.

• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, and other trades to coordinate the installation process smoothly.
• Conduct inspections of formwork for stability, safety, and adherence to project standards before pouring concrete.

• Proven experience as a Formwork Joiner or in a similar carpentry or construction role involving formwork systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring devices.
• Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to formwork assembly and structural support systems.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during installation tasks.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques and roofing systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
