Job summary

Clements Young is seeking a Shuttering Carpenter for a 4-week groundworks project in Winchester, Hampshire. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a CIS-pay rate of 260 per day. Start ASAP; location at Winchester/Hampshire site with potential Hayling Island assignment noted in posting.

Qualifications

Experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in the construction industry.
Knowledge of welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures.
CSCS Card or equivalent qualification required.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine formwork requirements.
Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques to shape concrete structures accurately.
Measure and cut materials such as timber, steel, and other specialized components to fit project needs.
Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of formwork to maintain safety standards and structural accuracy.
Dismantle formwork after concrete has set while ensuring minimal damage for reuse or disposal.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly.
