Job summary

McLaren Resourcing seeks an experienced Shuttering Joiner to join a hands-on construction team on site. The role involves constructing, installing and dismantling timber formwork for reinforced concrete structures, reading drawings, and ensuring safety on active sites.

Applicants should have proven shuttering/formwork carpentry experience, strong carpentry and measurement skills, and a CSCS card where required by site. The position offers consistent work and potential for long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner, Shuttering Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter.
• Strong knowledge of formwork and concrete construction.
• Good practical carpentry and measuring skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set out and construct timber shuttering and formwork to drawings and specifications.
• Install and dismantle formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs.
• Measure, cut and assemble timber and other materials accurately.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, secure and correctly aligned before concrete is poured.
