Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a Race Engineering Student on a 1-year placement at their Enstone facility. You will support track operations from the Race Ops facility, collaborating with race and performance engineering, race strategy, competitor analysis and vehicle performance.

The role focuses on data-driven analysis, tool development, and practical problem-solving under pressure, with learning opportunities across multiple engineering groups and on-site assessment in September.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year student pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace/Motorsport Engineering or Data Science/Analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, MATLAB or similar.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not provided.
• Available to attend onsite assessment centre in September.

Responsibilities

• Event preparation: collate relevant past data and pre-event simulation.
• Provide analysis during race weekends, real-time session support and post sessions.
• Assist in post-event reporting: strategy, pitstops, competitor analysis.
• Assist in developing current tools and processes and contribute new tool ideas.
