Job summary

Linde Material Handling in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair and maintain forklift trucks and warehouse equipment at customer sites across the country.

You will work autonomously and in teams, using the latest product training, with a competitive package including 40- or 45-hour weeks, shift premiums, overtime and extensive development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, forklift technicians, plant fitters or plant technicians.
• Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners is desirable.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing at customer sites.
• Utilise training to service a full range of products from small pallet trucks to VNA and automated trucks.

We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

In the role of a Field Service, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

• Do you have experience in one for the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics?
• Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential
• We use the latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders, therefore being comfortable using IT equipment is essential
• You will need to hold a full UK driving licence
• As a Linde engineer you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and within a team
