Job summary

Holcim UK Ltd in Somerset is seeking a Forklift Operative for the August contract. The role requires a Counterbalance forklift licence, reliable transport to Shepton Mallet, and the ability to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 25kg in outdoor conditions.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with start ASAP. You will work as part of a small team on-site at Torr Quarry, maintaining safety and efficiency throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence required.
• Experience with clamp attachments preferred.
• Willingness to perform manual labour including lifting and yard duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift for material transport, stacking and loading/unloading lorries.
• Carry out pre-use checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, lifting up to 25kg and shovelling concrete.
• Keep site clean and organized and assist with general maintenance.
