Job summary

Catering in Great Wyrley is seeking an experienced Forklift Truck Driver for a hands-on role in a busy manufacturing site. You will move materials and finished goods, load/unload HGVs, and support production and warehouse teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, valid operator training for the truck type, and a strong commitment to health and safety. Overtime opportunities and potential permanency are available in this full-time post.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience in manufacturing, warehouse or distribution settings.
• Current recognised forklift operator training certificate for the truck type.
• Experience loading and unloading HGVs is desirable.
• Strong awareness of workplace health & safety and safe working around people and equipment.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift truck within a busy manufacturing environment.
• Load and unload HGVs, delivery vehicles and trailers.
• Move raw materials, components and finished products around the site.
• Load finished products for customer deliveries and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Check quantities, paperwork and products before loading and shipment.
• Ensure loads are secured and correctly positioned for transport.
• Supply production areas with materials as required and assist with stock movements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized yard and warehouse; perform daily forklift checks.
