Job summary

Premier Work Support is recruiting on behalf of a Basildon-based client for a Forklift Operative to join their warehouse team on a temporary basis in the Stanford-Le-Hope area.

The role requires a current Counterbalance Forklift licence, solid warehouse experience, good communication, and a clean 5-year employment/education history; DBS check required. Shift patterns are rotating: 6am-2:30pm and 11:30am-8pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight using a Counterbalance forklift
• Notify supervisor of shortages or damages
• Follow booking-in procedure and report dims to relevant department
• Handle vehicles promptly
• Ensure freight leaving warehouse is signed for upon collection
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Forklift Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis in the Stanford-Le-Hope area.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, with a in date Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.

The Forklift Operative duties will involve:

• Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift
• Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages
• Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department.
• Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner
• Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection
• Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse

Hours of work are Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern 6am - 2:30pm, and 11:30am to 8:00pm or till finish.

Due to the nature of this business all candidates must have 5 full years employment / education history with no gaps and will be subject to a DBS Check. Both are for security reasons. We can support you in obtaining a DBS if you do not currently hold a valid certificate.
