Job summary

Right Now Group is seeking an experienced Forklift Operative to join a busy freight warehouse at Heathrow. The role involves safe, accurate movement of cargo, inbound/outbound processing and stock control using WMS and Microsoft 365.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30 or 09:00-18:00. Salary ranges from £29,000 to £31,000 per year, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence essential.
• Experience in freight forwarding or 3PL warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Microsoft 365.
• Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and warehouse duties.
• Understanding of warehouse compliance, security or regulated cargo desirable.
• Ability to pass security checks; previous security training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to move, load, unload and store goods safely within the warehouse.
• Receive, check, weigh and dimension inbound cargo in line with warehouse procedures.
• Prepare and dispatch outbound shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain accurate stock control, ensuring all goods in and out are recorded correctly within the system.
• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and internal systems, including Microsoft 365, to manage inventory and shipments.
• Ensure all cargo is stored correctly and allocated to appropriate warehouse locations.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
• Support the handling and storage of regulated and dangerous goods in line with CAA and compliance standards.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with equipment checks and report any faults or damage promptly.
• Adhere to warehouse security procedures, including the handling of known cargo within a regulated environment.

Forklift Operative (Freight / 3PL Environment)

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Operative to join a busy and fast-paced freight warehouse operation based at Heathrow. This is a hands-on role within a regulated logistics environment, ideal for someone with previous warehouse and counterbalance forklift experience who is looking to develop within air freight or 3PL operations.

This position requires flexibility, with working hours on a Monday to Friday basis: 07:00-16:30 or 09:00-18:00.

As a Forklift Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient movement, handling and storage of cargo, supporting both inbound and outbound shipments in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative
