Job summary

Haughey Recruitment is listing a Forklift Mechanic in Dungannon. The successful candidate will perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, repair components, and prepare equipment for delivery, drawing on strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.

You will work with forklifts, scissor lifts and related equipment, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A hands-on engineer with fabrication experience will fit well.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment repair with a focus on forklifts or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience.
• Experience in assembly, maintenance programmes, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques
• Assist with assembly of parts or equipment modifications to improve performance or safety standards
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
