Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Engineer to join a friendly team in Swadlincote. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

You will diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance and safety inspections, and work to company procedures. An engineering background in forklift or related fields and a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in Forklift, Plant, Agricultural, HGV, or Automotive.
• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, productive, and safe workshop environment.
