Job summary

Jungheinrich UK is seeking a Field-Based Forklift Engineer to service customers across Derby and Nottingham. You will diagnose and repair forklifts and warehouse equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site technical support with a strong customer focus.

Experience as forklift/plant/vehicle/mechanical-electrical engineer and a full UK driving licence are essential. The role offers competitive salary, paid overtime, and industry-leading training with excellent progression

Your Role:

As a Forklift Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive first-class service by maintaining and repairing a range of Jungheinrich material handling equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Performing routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Providing technical support and guidance to customers
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and professionalism

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Technician, or similar mechanical/electrical role
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diagnostics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
