Responsibilities

  • Keep factory areas clean and free from waste materials.
  • Safely dispose of waste in line with company HSE policies.
  • Support production by safely lifting materials and components.
  • Deliver and collect goods, and assist with Goods Inwards and Despatch.
  • Report hazards to the Machine Shop Supervisor promptly.
  • Assist with deburring, assembly, and other light production tasks.
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc duties in support of the team.

Job description

Pay rate: £26,420 p.a. (Pro Rata)
Hours: 8am to 5pm Mon - Thursday 8am-1pm Friday

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Support Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, supporting the production team, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace in line with company Health and Safety standards.

Role Purpose

To assist production and other staff in their daily tasks while adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Keep factory areas clean and free from waste materials at all times.
  • Safely dispose of waste in line with company HSE policies, maintaining accurate logs and records of collections.
  • Support production by safely lifting jigs, materials, and components using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Deliver and collect goods, and assist with Goods Inwards and Despatch as required.
  • Report any hazards to the Machine Shop Supervisor or SHE Advisor promptly.
  • Assist with deburring, assembly, and other light production tasks as needed.
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc duties in support of the team.
