Job summary

A Forest Manager role in Dumfries, South West Scotland offers a salary of £35,000–£42,000 plus benefits. You will join a growing forestry team to manage woodland projects, work closely with clients and contractors, and contribute to sustainable forestry operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in forestry or woodland management with relevant qualifications.
• Understanding of UK forestry industry, contractor management and site safety.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage forest and woodland operations, including woodland creation and estate management.
• Prepare and deliver forest plans, budgets and work programmes.
• Coordinate contractors, oversee site planning and ensure high standards of health and safety.
• Build strong relationships with clients, landowners and key stakeholders.
• Support colleagues across forestry management and harvesting operations.
