Job summary

Euroforest Ltd, the UK’s leading independent forestry and timber logistics company, seeks a Forest Technician based at our Devon office to oversee harvesting, roading and silvicultural operations across Southwest England.

You will supervise contractors, monitor tree quality, maintain maps and site records, and ensure health and safety compliance to deliver high standards for clients and the environment.

Qualifications

• Proven practical forestry experience and academic forestry qualification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to record data accurately and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist onsite management of harvesting, roading, silvicultural operations and surveying.
• Perform site inspections, quality checks and report outputs to managers.
• Update maps and site documentation for safety and quality.
• Support restocking and new woodland creation; monitor tree quality and planting.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure timber specs and road safety.
• Identify safety hazards and escalate to Area Manager promptly.
• Assist haulage planning and ensure RAMS are in place on sites.
• Ensure signage and documentation are compliant on operational sites.
