Job summary

Forestry Commission is seeking a Regulatory and Incentives Support Officer to join the team at Alice Holt Forest, Farnham. The role focuses on protecting woodlands, supporting landowners, and delivering grants and incentives for sustainable woodland creation.

You will engage with woodland owners, discuss habitat improvements, and help tackle threats like pests and diseases, contributing to climate resilience and biodiversity goals across England's forests.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with the public and stakeholders.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Help Create New Woodlands: support development of woodland creation projects and work with landowners to plant trees and enhance habitats.
• Protect England's Trees: ensure woodlands are managed responsibly and support forestry regulations.
• Improve Woodland Resilience: encourage active woodland management and help owners adapt to climate change.
