Elysium Healthcare's The Limes in Langwith, Mansfield is seeking a Forensic Psychologist to deliver focused interventions and help grow the care pathway through specialist psychological advice. You will manage a caseload in a Level 2 mental health inpatient setting, with training opportunities and staff backing to advance your career.

Reporting to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you’ll apply forensic/psychiatric expertise, contribute to multi-disciplinary care, and ensure evidence-based

• BPS recognised psychology degree is essential.
• Approved supervisor within BPS guidelines is desirable.
• Experience applying psychology in forensic/psychiatric settings is desirable.
• Post-doctoral level knowledge of research methods and multivariate analysis.

You will be working at The Limes, a service that providea Level 2 mental health inpatient rehabilitation service that provides care and treatment for men who have an identified mental health rehabilitation need. This includes people who may also have a learning disability, who have a diagnosis of autism or Personality Disorder. Reporting to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of delivering strategic and clinical strategies to grow and further develop the care pathway through specialist psychological advice and consultations.

You will have experience and knowledge in carrying a designated caseload, including assessing service users with complex needs, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment within neurological care services.

As a Forensic Psychologist you will be:

• Deliver focused psychological interventions.
• Identify and develop new services for other neurological conditions.
• Ensure all non-medical therapeutic approaches are underpinned by a conceptual model, have an empirical evidence base, and that their effectiveness is measured.
• Ensure that all members of the transdisciplinary team have access to and understanding of the concepts and principles underpinning framework and the specialised skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• BPS recognised psychology degrees (essential)
• To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division (desirable).
• Experience of applying psychological knowledge to a forensic or psychiatric setting (desirable).
• Evidence of engagement in ABI networks.
• Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis.

Where you will be working:

Location : The Limes, Main Street, Langwith, Mansfield NG20 9HD

It is a specialist Rehabilitation service for men with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder and a history of trauma and/or attachment disorders. The service offers a blended model of rehabilitation that combines a traditional rehabilitation environment with single and dual occupancy apartments, to provide a se amless care pathway for men. You will be working in an environment where t here is a strong emphasis on positive risk taking which enables self-reliance and builds trust and self-esteem.

The service focuses on psychological input and provides specialist, evidence based interventions including Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). There is significant staff expertise in early life trauma and attachment disorder, helping the service user make sense of a trauma history.
