Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Psychological Therapist for a whole-time fixed-term post (9 months) in the Forensic Community Service. The role involves community-based work with adults moving from secure hospital care, including the Tilt service for men with significant mental health needs and forensic risks, across Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.

You will conduct clinical assessments and interventions, provide consultation to professionals, and contribute to staff training and service

Qualifications

• Doctorate or MSc in psychology with a PG Diploma.
• Registered with professional regulatory bodies e.g., HCPC, BABCP, UKCP.
• Experience in forensic/secure settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical assessment and interventions in complex cases (individual, group, family).
• Support the system around the service user, offering consultation and reflective practice to other professionals.
• Deliver staff training to clinical and non‑clinical staff.
• Possibly supervise trainees and undertake research.
• Lead initiatives including collaboration with families and carers.
