Forensic Healthcare Professional (FHCP)

PHL Group are looking for Forensic Healthcare Professionals (FHCPs) to join the team in Nuneaton. The custody suite are based in Telford. This is an exciting role where you will work alongside police officers to assess and treat individuals who are detained in police custody.

Responsibilities
  • Determine if a detainee is suffering from a mental health condition, uncooperative, or lacking necessary diabetes medication.
  • Determine if a detainee is a substance misuser or experiencing a head injury.
  • Assess and address the health needs of detained individuals.
  • Conduct forensic medical examinations to gather evidence for use in the criminal justice system.
  • Perform clinical assessments, identify and implement appropriate interventions, and collect forensic samples.
  • Provide advice and guidance to ensure the detainees receive proper care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records to safeguard their health, safety, and welfare while in police custody.
