Job summary

PHL Group is recruiting a Forensic Healthcare Professional to work in custody suites in Cleveland, collaborating with police officers to assess and treat detainees. Full training will be provided.

The post is full-time, 42 hours per week, and requires a registered RGN/General Nurse or Paramedic. You will conduct clinical assessments, collect forensic samples and support custody officers with health care decisions.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered RGN/General Nurse or Paramedic.
• Full training will be provided for the forensic role.
• Assess and address health needs of detainees and conduct forensic medical examinations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments in custody settings.
• Identify interventions and collect forensic samples.
• Keep detailed, accurate records for health and welfare of detainees.
• Advise and support Custody Officers on health care priorities and care pathways.
• Determine fitness to be detained, released, interviewed, and understand charges.
