Reporting to the Forecasting and Planning Manager, you will optimise service quality by providing accurate information on the volume capacity and service levels within the Evri Premium network and reporting to a variety of stakeholders to aid effective management decision making. You will analyse and interpret this data to assist in the planning of the overall network, as well as identifying areas of the operation where service is at risk and act immediately to prevent or mitigate erosion of service.
You will track and record network performance to identify on‑going performance improvement opportunities. You will suggest and build new reports to improve the planning of the network and highlight service failures and work with stakeholders to ensure these are used and understood.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Assisting the Forecasting and Planning Manager in the implementation of planning requirements; to forecast, monitor and improve the full end‑to‑end parcel process (Hub through to delivery to customer).
- Understanding the Evri Premium network operating windows and processes to create accurate data for planning and service monitoring within hubs, depots and the wider network.
- Producing daily reports that contain volume, service level analysis, process and resource requirements for the network.
- Compiling and publishing weekly/monthly reports as required on network status and performance/compliance for cascade through Operations from Director level and below.
- Managing the network according to the plan across the whole supply chain, client collection and beyond.
- Analyzing hub/depot processing data and considering planning constraints such as parcel machine throughputs and performance.
- Monitoring accuracy of forecast versus actual performance results and supplying the hubs and depots with accurate information to optimise labour and asset utilisation. You will work with stakeholder groups to train and implement the practical use of this information/output from reports.
- Proactively identifying changes in activity within the Evri Premium network and effectively adapting planning, assisting in the review of hubs, depot and wider network activities for changes and events, e.g. by process, bank holidays, peak plans and product changes.
- Utilizing historical data and working with hubs, depots and the wider network to install a culture of continuous improvement in planning to reduce cost and improve quality by improving the accuracy of process planning.
- Escalating your findings to the appropriate operational area, alerting to the impact of non‑action and advising recommendations for resolution, working with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Hosting daily network conference calls with managers and senior managers across depot, field and customer services, questioning service performance and escalating accordingly so that failures are understood and avoided moving forward.
