  • Coaching certifications (e.g., FA badges or equivalent) and up-to-date safeguarding/first aid training.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run age-appropriate coaching sessions following Samba Soccer Schools®’ methodology.
  • Deliver engaging on-site sessions in Romford, Ockendon, Rainham and Dagenham.
  • Maintain safety, inclusivity and high professional standards during all sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with children and parents and collaborate with other coaches.

Samba Soccer Schools® is an innovative London-based football school that teaches children aged 4 to 12 to play “the Brazilian way” using a unique coaching methodology and training syllabus. The program combines samba music, size 2 weighted footballs, and storytelling to create an engaging and enjoyable grassroots football experience. Alongside technical skills and creative flair, the school focuses on social development, building confidence, discipline, and knowledge in young players. All courses are carefully designed by professional coaches to develop ball mastery and core 1v1 moves while delivering strong value for money and a fun learning environment. Role Description

The Football Coach will deliver engaging on-site coaching sessions for children in Romford, ockendon, Rainham and Dagenham following Samba Soccer Schools®’ Brazilian-inspired methodology and training syllabus. This contract role involves planning and running age-appropriate sessions that build ball mastery, 1v1 skills, and game understanding, while promoting confidence, discipline, and enjoyment. The coach will manage session setup, ensure a safe and inclusive environment, and adapt drills to different ability levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating effectively with children and parents, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and collaborating with other coaches to align with the school’s coaching philosophy and objectives.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Football Coaching and general Coaching skills, with experience working with children in a grassroots or academy setting.
  • Candidates should have solid Football knowledge, including technical skills, small-sided games, and player development principles.
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent Communication abilities, particularly when engaging young players and liaising with parents or guardians.
  • Candidates should have Training experience, including planning structured sessions, delivering drills, and giving constructive feedback.
  • Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., FA coaching badges or equivalent) and up-to-date safeguarding and first aid training are highly beneficial.
  • Ability to create a fun, inclusive, and safe learning environment, with strong classroom and group management skills.
  • Availability to work on-site in Romford, Ockendon, Rainham and Dagenham with reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to representing Samba Soccer Schools®.
