Role

Foot Mobile Engineer - Mechanical Bias
Zones 1-4

Responsibilities
  • Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance tasks via CAFM systems, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and critical service failures (e.g., pumps, heating, sewage systems).
  • Diagnose faults quickly to minimise downtime and restore services.
  • Carry out corrective repairs to pipework, systems, and building services.
  • Perform fabrication tasks including brackets, enclosures, flanges, adjustments, and soldering.
  • Undertake repairs and replacement of heating, bathroom, and WC systems.
  • Follow manufacturer guidance for maintenance and replacement parts.
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times, adhering to method statements, risk assessments, COSHH, and manual handling procedures.
  • Use appropriate access systems (ladders, towers, MEWPs, lifts, etc.).
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Recognised industry qualification (apprenticeship training desirable).
  • Proven experience in facilities management, building services, or a similar maintenance role.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with additional skills in plumbing and fabric maintenance.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to working across multiple sites.
