Foot Mobile Building Services Engineer – London. £44,000 + Zone 1 & 4 Travel Card. Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 17:00.
Alice Rose is currently recruiting for a Mobile Building Services Engineer to join a highly reputable building services organisation on their mobile team in London. As a maintenance provider, the company is known for being one of the best technical companies in the industry, outstanding staff retention, a tight knit family environment and continuous training and development for all levels of staff. The fully qualified Foot Mobile Building Services Engineer will be part of the mobile engineering team covering commercial sites in the heart of London, working days 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, covering planned and reactive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical & electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
- Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items.
- Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract. Administer sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
- To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with The Client’s Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to always maintain plant in serviceable order.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding reactive, and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
- To develop a good working relationship with all members of the client’s staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
- Ensure the professional image of the client is always presented to clients.
- Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of the client are always locked and are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Requirements
- City and Guilds Electrical qualifications (e.g. 236, 2330, 2365, etc.).
- City and Guilds Mechanical qualifications.
- Apprentice trained – desirable.
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background.
- Building Services Maintenance experience.
- 17th/18th Edition.
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
