Marks & Spencer Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Deputy Store Manager in Food to lead teams, deliver exceptional customer service, ensure product availability and quality, and achieve strong commercial results in a fast‑paced retail environment.

You’ll coach and develop Team Managers, use data to spot opportunities, drive performance, and champion digital adoption and omnichannel experiences while maintaining food safety, standards and the modern M&S brand.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation across the Foodhall with exceptional customer service, strong commercial delivery, product availability, food quality, and standards.

• Step up to run the full store when required, maintaining energy and pace.
• Coach and develop Team Managers and colleagues to inspire customers and build confidence across all food categories.
• Use data and insight to identify opportunities, optimise performance and make quick commercial decisions.
• Champion digital adoption and omnichannel retailing, connecting online and in-store experiences for customers.
• Set and maintain high standards in service, food safety, product presentation, availability and operational excellence reflecting the M&S brand.

As a Deputy Store Manager in Food, you’ll help bring the very best of M&S Food to life, leading your teams to deliver exceptional customer service, outstanding product availability and quality, and strong commercial performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
