The Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a Good-rated secondary school in Staffordshire from November 2025. This full-time, long-term role involves delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop essential life skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing a hands-on curriculum that promotes nutritional awareness, safe food preparation, and design principles. Collaboration within the wider Design Technology department will be key to ensuring a high-quality, inspiring learning experience.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher who combines subject expertise with a passion for creative, practical learning. You should be:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed)
  • Experienced in teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
  • Confident in managing a practical classroom and maintaining high standards of health and safety
  • Organised, adaptable, and committed to student progress and achievement
  • A team player who contributes positively to a collaborative DT department
