About the Role

In this role you will contribute to the wider school community, support pupils' emotional wellbeing, and ensure a calm, safe learning environment that reflects our commitment to educating the whole child. You will work closely with colleagues and the Senior Leadership Team to monitor progress, implement interventions and help drive continuous improvement across the school.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and adapt Food Technology lessons for pupils with additional needs across all key stages.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Track and monitor pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and set targets.
  • Support literacy and numeracy interventions within lessons as needed.
  • Contribute to school development initiatives and report on teaching and learning to SLT.
  • Cover classes as needed and provide additional support to colleagues.
Qualifications
  • UK QTS (Desirable) or willingness to develop qualifying status.
  • Experience or willingness to teach Food Technology.
  • Understanding of pupils with SEN and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to undertake professional training.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
