Food Technology Teacher

Location: Altrincham, Trafford

Start Date/Length: January 2026 start until July 2026. Could become permanent for the right Food Technology Teacher.

Contract Type: Contract, full time Monday to Friday 8:30am-3pm.

Salary: 150 - 200 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a passionate and fully qualified (QTS) Food Technology Teacher seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our vibrant secondary school in Altrincham, Trafford are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to teach classes from KS3 to KS5. This role is full-time and involves teaching, planning and marking. This role is to start in January 2026 until July 2026 with the possibility of extension into the 2026/2027 academic year!

The school are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the Uk.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons to secondary school students, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  2. Planning and Preparation: Develop well-structured and creative lesson plans, tailored to the needs of the students and aligned with the curriculum.
  3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, effectively managing student behavior and fostering a love for languages.
  4. Assessment: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the department and school community.
