Position: Food Technologist (12-Month Contract)

Location: Southwark London Hybrid

About the Position

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join our team in London on a 12-month contract. In this critical role you'll ensure our products meet the highest technical and regulatory standards across Foodservice. From managing specifications and artwork to supporting compliance and customer queries you'll help keep everything running smoothly and compliantly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Specification & Compliance

• Manage internal product specifications and ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Maintain up-to-date specification data to meet launch timelines and critical paths.
• Ensure product compliance with current legislation, regulations and customer requirements.

Customer & Consumer Support

• Respond to technical queries from customers and consumers via the Careline or account teams.
• Provide product derogations as needed and support foodservice customer needs.
• Deliver accurate Q&A product information and artwork review in line with labelling regulations.

Project & Process Ownership

• Lead and support Foodservice projects delivering key milestones on time.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D and operations to deliver new product introductions effectively.
• Maintain documentation to ensure internal and external audit readiness and technical compliance.

To thrive in this role you’ll need a strong technical background, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work cross-functionally to keep everything compliant on time and on track. You should have:

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in a technical advisory or compliance-focused role within FMCG or food production.
