About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Food Technician to join our vibrant Design & Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of Food & Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping our students develop essential life skills and a passion for food.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical food lessons.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in food rooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage stock, order supplies, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Support teachers and students during lessons, demonstrating safe and effective use of equipment where required.
  • Assist with displays, resources, and departmental administration.
About You
  • A positive and proactive team player with excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a school or catering environment is an advantage but not essential - training will be provided.
