Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a confident Food Technology teacher for a full-time role in Medway, Kent. The timetable will be mainly Food Technology and practical cooking, with some Design & Technology lessons.

The position requires safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS on the update service. Ideal candidates will have an in-date Food Safety / Health & Safety qualification and the ability to supervise practical cooking for secondary pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience or strong background in Food Technology / Food Preparation.
• Excellent practical cooking skills.
• In-date Food Safety / Health & Safety qualification.
• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Ability to supervise practical cooking safely and effectively.
• Some knowledge or experience of Design & Technology would be advantageous.
• Availability to work 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver predominantly Food Technology and practical cooking lessons.
• Include some Design & Technology lessons in the timetable.
• Work with secondary pupils in a Medway setting.
