Job Introduction

To deliver high standards of catering and cleaning services across designated areas, ensuring excellent customer service, compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures, and adherence to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out catering and cleaning tasks efficiently, including daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual duties.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in kitchens, catering stations, stores, and equipment.
  • Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely following correct training.
  • Report any maintenance, equipment faults, or hazards immediately.
  • Ensure appropriate safety signage is displayed at all times.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear provided uniform and PPE correctly.
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries following stock rotation procedures (FIFO).
  • Replenish catering stations (tea, coffee, milk, sugar) and operate tills as trained, including cash handling.
  • Follow profit protection procedures.
  • Participate in training and maintain knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, HACCP, and site procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and report to the Café Supervisor.
  • Assist with reception, mail, furniture movement, and miscellaneous tasks as required.
  • Be flexible to cover additional hours due to holiday or sickness.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and secure working areas at the end of the day.
