Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Assistant at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in Altrincham, WA14 2RS. This part-time, permanent role offers a friendly environment and a chance to contribute to high-quality food service.

You'll assist in food preparation, serve customers, maintain hygiene, and work 16 hours per week with Monday to Friday shifts from 10:45AM to 2PM. Training is provided, and a positive attitude and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food to the notified standard, following Fresh Food from Scratch ethos.
• Serve customers promptly and maintain high standards of service.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and hygienic.
• Replenish displays and support efficient service flow.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures; raise issues to Head Chef or Catering Manager.

About the Role

As a Food Service Assistant, you'll assist in the preparation of food to ensure the prompt and efficient delivery of service to the company's and clients standards whilst maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the unit to comply with company procedures.

You'll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and present food to the notified standard, ensuring the ethos of Fresh Food from Scratch is followed
• Serve customers in a quick, polite manner ensuring good customer service at all times
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters to ensure an efficient and seamless service
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Raise any issues to the Head Chef or Catering Manager in a timely manner
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors
• Complete any administration as requested including food temperatures, cleaning schedules, delivery temperatures, stock takes etc.
