A dynamic agri-food client in Dungannon is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Manager to oversee their Quality & Hygiene Department. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Food Science and experience in food manufacturing quality assurance. Strong knowledge of HACCP and regulatory requirements is essential. Job description

Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our dynamic agri-food client in their search for a Food Safety & Quality Manager for their site based in Dungannon.

The successful Quality Manager will be overseeing the Quality & Hygiene Department, the people within, with responsibility for site food safety and quality, relevant systems policies, procedures and equipment. Leading audits, complaints and generally being the onsite Food safety and quality point of contact.

What your day to day will look like:
  • Oversee customer complaints, defect reports, and quality alerts while ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, audit protocols, and company policies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all operational stages, including HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP implementation.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, introduce industry best practices, and integrate new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the quality and hygiene teams to meet regulatory and company standards while fostering professional development.
  • Manage system audits, traceability schedules, pest control, and hygiene procedures to maintain compliance with food safety protocols.
What you will need to succeed:
  • Degree or diploma in a Food Science or other related field
  • Experience working in quality assurance department in food manufacturing within a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP, GMP, BRC
  • Experience with audits, compliance and regulatory requirements in the food industry.
