Food Safety & Quality Manager, Coleraine

This role is based in Coleraine and reports to the Quality Director, with a matrix reporting line to the Plant Manager. It involves providing leadership for Food Safety & Quality, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and managing plant quality assurance personnel. The position requires 5-10% travel and is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional outside hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective food safety compliance and risk mitigation programs.
• Support Food Safety and HACCP programs, ensuring GMP and preventive controls are in place.
• Maintain GFSI certification and support food safety and quality systems, including audits and regulatory inspections.
• Develop and review procedures aligned with corporate standards.
• Conduct internal audits and enforce manufacturing standards.
• Ensure product safety and compliance, supporting regulatory and customer audits.
• Track KPIs and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on quality and process improvements.
• Develop training programs to enhance Kerry Production Stream.
• Respond proactively to customer complaints and technical issues.
• Develop qualified personnel within the Quality department.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Science or Engineering, with a Diploma or higher in OHS/Environmental/Sustainability.
• Experience with QHSE management systems and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ethical trading practices.
• Experience managing customer relationships.
• Understanding of standards development, strategy, supply chain, and project management.
