Job description
Food Safety Quality Auditor (Nights)

Location: Ruskington

Reports to: Food Safety & Quality Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Food Safety Quality Auditor (Nights) to ensure that all products meet integrity, safety and legality and specification requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and developing quality systems to ensure safe, legal product integrity and authenticity.
  • To ensure all operational standards in quality and food hygiene are monitored and maintained.
  • To ensure compliance to all food handling quality and technical requirements and that this information is accurately recorded.
  • Monitoring and auditing of CCPs.
  • Intake inspection of raw materials, ingredients and packaging and analysis to ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring in-house ingredient labelling.
  • Collating traceability records.
  • Fabric, glass & brittle material audits.
  • GMP audits.
  • Driving high hygiene and GMP standards across the factory.
  • Driving quality & food safety culture.
  • Assist in audits of operation, factory and surrounds.
  • Control of non-conformance. Ensuring routine samples are collected and submitted for testing as required.
  • Material assessment and concession management.
  • Traceability audits, hygiene audits and swabbing, highlight areas of non-conformity.
  • Monitoring of cleaning chemical concentration.
  • Driving production to be audit ready.
  • Product inspections and temperature checks.
  • Ownership of the quality department's paperwork and records.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all products the site produces and the procedures that surround that production and the paperwork that relates to them.
  • Ensuring product safety and quality meets specifications and procedures.
  • Perform all aspects of online checks of product, packaging, labelling and procedure, ensuring compliance with specification.
  • Carry out product checks against specification.
  • Carry out area temperature checks, scale checks and probe calibrations.
  • Carry out gas analysis on packaging and completing relevant paperwork.
  • System monitoring and verification such as: room temperature, chemical titrations, canteen facilities.
  • Organoleptic panels and product assessment (texture analysis).
  • Internal audits.
Essential Criteria:
  • Problem solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Food Safety L2 or equivalent.
  • HACCP L2.
  • HR/HC experience (depending on site).
  • Meat/Carcass knowledge (depending on site).
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in manufacturing specific factory products.
  • Internal auditing.
  • Food Safety L3 or equivalent.
  • Microbiology.
