Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Coordinator to join our manufacturing client at their site in Arbroath, working on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established and respected food manufacturing business known for producing high-quality products for UK and export markets. They are currently seeking a Quality Team Coordinatorto join their Technical Department and play a key role in maintaining product quality, safety, and compliance with both BRC and customer standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Team Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control team across both day and night shifts. This role involves ensuring that production processes meet required specifications, managing audits, and supporting continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the Quality Control team, managing shift patterns, holidays, and workloads.
  • Oversee in-process quality checks and ensure that any non-conformances are handled efficiently.
  • Conduct and support internal audits in line with BRC and customer requirements.
  • Manage microbiological and allergen swabbing programmes and oversee pest control systems.
  • Maintain and complete customer product specifications and non-conformance logs.
  • Organise and manage sensory assessment panels to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, NPD, Engineering, Sales, Dispatch, and Planning teams to maintain high standards and ensure brand integrity.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a quality or technical role within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Sound knowledge of BRC standards, food safety, and quality systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
