Job summary

GCL Food Ingredients in Nottingham is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join the Technical team and uphold the highest standards of food safety, legality and quality across our site.

You will work with Production to identify quality issues, support BRC and customer audits, and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis. Training will be provided as part of our supportive, family-run environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing quality assurance and audits.
• Knowledge of BRC accreditation and quality inspections.
• Understanding of food safety and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety, quality and legality across the site.
• Support BRCGS and customer audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collect samples and verify CCP, allergens, and species.
• Check labels, packaging and COA/CoC documentation.
• Collaborate across departments to improve standards.
