Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a detail-focused Laboratory Assistant in Stockport. The role includes testing products for quality, maintaining lab records, and ensuring food safety standards. Laboratory Assistant - Key Overview

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Laboratory Assistant to help ensure our finished products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

• Test our product and related products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Record results accurately and report anything outside specification.
• Support production by analysing products during processing, bagging and deliveries.
• Produce customer certificates of conformity.
• Keep databases and lab records up to date and organised.
• Carry out routine and non-routine lab tests.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment in line with food safety requirements.
• Assist senior lab staff with daily tasks.
• Some manual handling / lifting will be required.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 Food Hygiene and basic food safety knowledge and understanding is a bonus).
