Overview

Food Production Manager - Derby

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time (part-time considered)

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring schedules are met and workflows run efficiently
  • Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to deliver consistent high-quality results
  • Operate and oversee sauce kettles/jacketed kettles for large-batch cooking
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
  • Monitor quality control, stock levels, and production output to meet demand
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and product consistency
What We\'re Looking For
  • Proven management or supervisory experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience using industrial cooking kettles (sauces, soups, ready meals, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP requirements
  • A proactive approach with the ability to problem-solve and manage a fast-paced kitchen
