Overview

The Best Connection are recruiting Production Operatives for our client a well established and highly respected manufacturer of fresh meat and deli products. Candidates will be handling fresh meat, including Pork products in a controlled environment and will be working with a friendly team many of whom have worked happily at the site for many years.

The roles are offered with the following shift pattern - Pay rates are £12.21 per hour

  • Monday - Friday 08:00 - 20:00hrs - Food Production Operative roles
  • Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:30hrs - Hygiene/Cleaning Operative roles
  • Monday - Friday 14:00 - 19:30hrs - Food Production Operative roles

Transport is available for the AM shift from Bedford/Luton Pick up points - please contact the branch for further information.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare raw meat products and pastry products to specification and production targets
  • Clean and sanitise all equipment and utensils post and pre production to the highest standards
  • Follow all health and safety and food hygiene protocol reporting any hazards or concerns to management.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, and carry out other duties as required including cleaning and sanitising.
  • Wear required PPE at all times
Requirements
  • Follow all PPE Food production guidelines, and hygiene protocol at all times
  • Be able to commit to 12 hour/8 hour shift patterns on an on-going basis.
  • Have own reliable transport or live locally to fit in with shift requirements
  • Have a positive can - do attitude with good communication skills
  • Happy to work in chilled environment as required.
