Recruitment Consultant - Food Manufacturing Division
Location: Pickles HQ (Denton / Tameside)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 + commission
Start: ASAP

Who we are

Pickles Recruitment the unapologetically cheeky, purple‑branded recruitment agency taking over the North West one factory at a time. We’ve just secured our GLAA licence, and we’re launching our dedicated Food Manufacturing Temporary Staffing Division.

What we need

We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant who:

  • Has previously recruited into food manufacturing / food production / FMCG
  • Understands compliance, onboarding, right to work checks, and GLAA requirements
  • Can build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment
  • Is resilient, organised, direct, and results‑driven
Key Responsibilities
Client Development
  • Win and manage temp accounts within the food manufacturing sector
  • Carry out regular client site visits
  • Act as the day to day relationship lead for GLAA regulated clients
Candidate Management
  • Source, register, interview and onboard temporary workers
  • Ensure compliance is fully aligned with GLAA requirements
  • Manage shift rotas, candidate check‑ins and weekly timesheets
Business Growth
  • Hit KPIs and revenue targets
  • Maximise revenue through margin management
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to grow the division
Essential Experience
  • Previous recruitment agency experience (minimum 1 year temp desk)
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing environments
  • Strong compliance mindset (GLAA experience is a bonus)
  • Confident communicator, both on the phone and in person
  • Organised, resilient, thrives under pressure
